When we feel overwhelmed, or there’s not enough hours in the day or we have constant interruptions we can lose our motivation for the work or even work.
Yes, it’s true but sometimes it feels as if there’s only 5 hours and on other days it’s as if time stands still and we sail through the day.
Recently we’ve discussed whether, as individuals, we’re primarily visual, audio or kinaesthetic communicators and if we like details or headlines but what does that mean and what next?
If communication is the key to everything in business then understanding how people like to be communicated with, their preferred way of communicating and taking on information will make the difference between poor, mediocre, good and great communication.
Communication is key for any business and any business relationship, well any relationship really. But are we good communicators or at least are we consistently good communicators?
Sitting with clients and listening to what’s happening in their business and their lives so much comes down to communication. It’s the key to everything and its also key to how I work with them as what I’m doing is communicating when advising, mentoring, asking questions and so on.
Last week Seth Godin said “all those meetings you have tomorrow – they were just cancelled. What would you do with the time?”
I don’t know about you but networking isn’t something I’m always excited to do, especially going to a new event – surprisingly enough I am a bit of an introvert.
Last week I attended Invest MK, where businesses pitch for funding ranging from a few thousand pounds to half a million or more.

- How do you see your life… are there still six degrees of separation?
- Black Friday and Cyber Monday – Beneficial to businesses or does it attract the wrong kind of customer?
- Goals and targets – carrots or sticks?
- What are your vital statistics? Do you know your figures and how do you use them?
